European Cup Final ,Ajax vs Panathinaikos played at Wembley:Puskas made his fourth appearance in a European Cup Final but this time as the coach of unfancied Panathinaikos.Ajax reached their second final despite only winning one away game.At Wembley,Dick van Dijk headed in a Piet Keizer cross to put Ajax ahead after only 5 minutes.But the search for a second became so frenzied that Dimitrios Domazos began to set up chances for Antoniades,prompting Rinus Michels to withdraw the legendary Sjaak Swart during the interval;send on Arie Haan:and make positional adjustments.The result was a much less spectacular second half in which Panathinaikos struggled to cope with Johan Cruyff and looked less threatening than they had in the closing stages of the first half.Arie Haan became the first substitute to score in a final when he sealed Ajax's 2-0 win three minutes from time and laid the foundations for a sequence of success based on a playing style that was to leave indelible marks on European football.
